Customize A Group Of Wooden Picture Frames
Are you looking for an interesting and colorful way to display a set of photographs that you took during a nature hike this summer? Purchase several wooden picture frames that are all the same size or that are various sizes. Use fabric strips, glass beads, and artificial flowers to add a textured surface to each frame.
How Will The Pictures Be Hung?
Do you want the picture display to be neat and orderly and consist of photographs that are all arranged on top of one another or side by side? If so, decide which pictures you are going to frame and purchase some wooden frames that contain the same dimensions as one another.
If you want to create more of an artsy display that is reminiscent of what you might see on a studio or gallery wall, choose the picture that you would like to use as the focal point of the display. This picture can be housed in a large or medium-sized frame.
Purchase smaller wooden frames that are various sizes to display the remainder of the photographs. The smaller-sized frames can be hung around the larger frame that you are using to display the picture being used as the dominant one in the grouping.
What Materials Will Complement The Pictures?
The main objective is to enhance the wooden frames by using colorful materials but not draw attention away from the photos. Choose themed fabric, colorful glass beads, and seasonal faux flowers as the decorative materials. All of these materials can be purchased at just about any hobby shop. Select materials with colors that won't clash with the colors that are in the photographs.
You will need a glue gun and glue sticks for the application project, so buy these items if you do not already own them. Cut strips of fabric that will fit around the front and backside of each frame. You will need to use several strips for each frame, and you should be careful when gluing the material to the wood since fabric that contains a pattern will need to be lined up evenly across the wood.
Secure groups of artificial flowers or glass beads along the corners of the frames. If you would like each frame to have a contrasting appearance, select one decorative item for each frame. For example, if one frame is going to be decorated with beads and another one with flowers, use each item to cover one of the frames in entirety. After the glue has dried, place each photograph in one of the frames. Use picture hanging kits to secure the custom frames to a wall in your home.
